Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Is there a festival better than this?A. Of course not! The Heart of Virginia Festival is the BEST small-town festival in the world!
Q. What time does it start?A. The 10K Run/5 K Walk starts at 8:30AM (transportation to the starting line at 7:45AM).  Festival vendors open for business at 9:00AM.  The official kick-off and opening ceremony takes place at 10:00AM on the Crute Stage located at the corner of Main and Fourth Streets
Q. What is the cost of admission?A. Attending the Downtown Farmville portion of the Festival is free for everyone. Of course, there will be plenty of wonderful opportunities to part with some of your hard earned cash at our Arts, Crafts and Food booths so come prepared. If you prefer to just stroll and soak in the great atmosphere and participate in some of the entertainment or activities that costs nothing. Entrance to Saturday Evening at the Airport is $5 per car.  You can't beat that price.  Come and enjoy food, bands, and a spectacular display of fireworks.
Q. Where can we park?A. There are municipal parking lots located around the area of the festival, in particular there is a large amount of parking behind the Prince Edward County Courthouse located on Main Street.
