At 10:30 a.m. the Adrian Duke Band will get the stage swinging with the sounds of New Orleans. Adrian Duke's piano is overshadowed only by the raw emotional power of his voice. Although he has found a home as a Blues artist by blurring the lines between Blues, Funk, R&B, and Jazz, he has found critical acclaim, audience acceptance, and artistic peer recognition. Though best known for his performance for Queen Elizabeth II on her recent visit to the US, Adrian Duke is currently touring in support of his most recent release, ADRIATICA.This band of five players should keep the crowd's attention on the lawn in front of Crute Stage. From 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. festival goers will be entertained by The Frontiers, a Journey tribute band from Roanoke, VA. This band's music pays homage to the 80's rock pioneers, Journey. Twenty-five years after that iconic lineup last graced the stage, The Frontiers have carried on the banner of separate ways, summer lovin', and open arms. As a tribute act, few have such a colorful back-story that blurs the line between tribute and the real deal. To cap the day, the Casper Band from Richmond, VA will take the Crute stage from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A 30-plus year success story in Virginia and up and down the East Coast, Casper is all about having fun. This band has entertained people of all ages and occasions in countless performances. Running the sound for the music at Crute Stage is Sea of Sound out of Richmond, VA. |
