[Tidewater Pipes and Drums] At the Weyanoke Lawn the audience was treated some cultural music events with both an international and a historic appeal. From the Tidewater Pipes and Drums who brought a taste of Scotland to the streets of Downtown Farmville to Folk Salad with their folk sound steeped in a more local music tradition.

[Tidewater Pipes and Drums] The Tidewater Pipes and Drums played some authentic Scottish tunes including the "official" Scottish national anthem Scotland The Brave. They are no strangers to the Heart Of Virginia festival but it is still a treat to see the Highland regalia in the streets of rural Virginia. [Tidewater Pipes and Drums]

[Folk Salad] Folk Salad are comprised of Mary Lynne Bumgarner, Gale Weisman and Julia Wade. Along with early American songs they also played some old English ballads as well as their own original songs. They provided an enjoyable mellow counterpoint to the paegantry of the pipes and drums.
