	The Children's Festival had something to capture the interest of children of all ages. Children are a very important part of the Heart Of Virginia festival and the Children's Art Workshop captured their imagination with a fun, creative project. Styrofoam, paint and glitter were provided and the task was to produce a three-dimensional bird.

There were some wonderfully colorful creations and, when finished, they made a fun playtoy!

	Jonathan Austin,pictured left, had the audience chuckling, and not just the children. There were jokes that appealed to all ages and some juggling feats that left everyone amazed. Younger members of Watson Karate, pictured right, demonstrated their impressive skills.

	The Eager Beaver Birthday Bash featured six-foot puppets as well as the lovable characters pictured above to the far right. The educational exhibits included a wide range of informative displays from many different organizations. The Virginia National Guard came along with some of their equipment and drilled on the lawn nearby.

	Many groups from the local area participated and were able to inform visitors and spread the word about themselves. One such group was Heartland Productions, Inc., pictured here in their Fun and Games Booth. They had games for children to enjoy and win prizes while anyone wishing to find out more about the group could enjoy a seat and a chat with the members.
