The Downtown Stage

On the stage of the old State Theatre, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Opening ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. with the singing of our National Anthem by Mrs. Mary Ann Morris; invocation by Rev. Earl Wallace, Pastor of Pisgah Baptist Church in Rice; and an opening statement by Debbie Coffin, the chair of this year's festival.

On this our 20th Anniversary we are proud to bring to the stage gospel recording artist Willis Pittman and The Burden Lifters of Lillington, North Carolina, who will take the stage at 10:40 a.m.

Jackie Laubacher, who is host of TV8's Great 8 Sunday Morning Movie, will be emcee for our 5th Annual Showcase of Stars, which will begin at 12 noon and run until 1:30 p.m. with the award ceremony at 1:50 p.m.

Jackie Laubacher (right) will emcee this year's Showcase of Stars. She hosts the Great 8 Sunday Morning Movie aired on TV8 in Richmond and produces a news feature, 8 News for Kids, that highlights positive programs and educators in the area.

Willis Pittman and The Burden Lifters of Lillington of North Carolina (left) are bringing their great gospel music to help us celebrate the Festival's 20th anniversary.
